Integrated Fitness Powerlifting Team Represents at RPS Meet
Updated: May 20
On May 1, the Integrated Fitness of Dover (IF) powerlifting team competed at the Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate (RPS) NH/VT State Championships in Epping, New Hampshire. The team brought seven lifters and was led by IF personal trainers and certified USAPL coaches, Ron Morrison and Royce Claflin.
Lifters trained for this meet in the IF Strength Training class held on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. Between classes, lifters followed personalized programming designed by Coaches Ron and Royce to help them increase their strength and prepare for the meet. This event was a great success for the whole team with many new personal bests, RPS records, and the best lifter award earned by co-owner Candace Lord who had a 950 lb. total across all three lifts!
The IF powerlifting team has competitors who have competed in several powerlifting meets as well as lifters who competed for the first time! Natalie Morin shares her first meet experience:
“What an amazing first-time experience! I remember being so anxious and nervous before the meet because I didn’t know what to expect. Having a great supportive team and an amazing coach made a huge difference. The coaches and team members helped by encouraging me to do my best. The best part for me was hearing the team cheer for me.” ~ Natalie
If you are in pursuit of becoming stronger and healthier, or if you need to get ready for a powerlifting meet, Strength Training with Coaches Ron and Royce will help you be your personal best. The class focuses on the primary barbell movements—squat, bench, and deadlift—with an emphasis on conditioning movements. New and seasoned lifters are welcome to come and master the barbell lifts!
Classes run every Saturday, 7:00-9:00 a.m. with Coach Ron and every other Monday, 6:00-7:30 p.m. with Coach Royce.
